Thank you for choosing to participate in the third SingaCup event in Singapore. Your presence seals the success and ensures the quality of the tournament.

The fact that SingaCup has now moved into its third incarnation proves its acceptance. SingaCup is now firmly established as a truly international youth football tournament.

Our tournament can be somewhat unusual in that we unashamedly strive for quality rather than quantity. This is evidenced in both the teams and the partners that we attract. We are very proud of the quality of our events. We strive to make every aspect of them superior to what is offered by our competitors.

While the first event was very good, the second was distinctively better. Given the
opportunities emerging at last from the improving Asian football standards, this is an exciting time indeed to be staging an important youth football tournament.

This year we are very proud to have Mr Sergio Cervantes, Managing Director of Realmadrid Foundation Technical Academy Singapore, grace SingaCup as our Guest of Honour. Mr Cervantes is a keen advocate of sports education and training, evident from his indispensable roles with Real Madrid University since 2009 and Realmadrid Foundation since 2010. With the successes of the La Furia Espanola in recent years, Mr Cervantes’s presence will definitely have a positive influence on the participants in SingaCup.

As always another of our objectives is to provide a truly international football meeting place. I believe we have achieved this with participants and partners coming from well all over the world. This cannot help but contribute to the spread of ideas, knowledge and, importantly, friendship.

Yours in Youth Football,

P Selvakumar
Tournament Director
